If you've been living under a rock, Digital Playground is one of the premier adult film production companies in the world. Formed in the late 90's, and prodominently run by women, DP films usually focus on high production values, beautiful women, storylines, and hot sex. However, with the shift in the industry to gonzo these past couple of years, DP has partially embraced the "sex only" aspect of that while keeping the same level of class and eroticism in their films.

I have a love-hate relationship with Digital Playground so I'll try to keep this review as subjective as possible. My main problem lies in the fact that DP caters to not just men, but rather the couples market, and a lot of their films reflect that. That's not to say there's something wrong with that market, many women enjoy porn but only the pretty, fluffy type, so in that respect, DP fills a niche with their soft music and filtered/hazy films. Things I love about DP are the eroticism, production quality, and the contract girls they have - Jesse Jane, Jana Cova, Shay Jordan, Lacey Heart - there's actually quite a few more too. Most of the scenes generate intense heat and there's much attention to detail paid to the talent's outfits and presentation.

As for the website, it houses a ton of content but suffers from a major problem. This is one messy members section. And I don't mean sloppy blowjob messy, I mean I can't figure out where the fuck I am half the time and while it incorporate some cool "interactive" menus, it's overdone and annoying to deal with most of the time. They are lucky they have some hot content and gorgeous sluts because otherwise I'd be outta there.

The main page is way too busy for my liking so I just use the toolbar at the top to browse through the site. Clicking on DP Girls and you get a giant list of thumbnails of hotties to choose from to view their content. The main girls are all the past and present contract sluts from DP, and below are the rest of the talent that has graced DP films. Once you find a girl you like (not that it's that hard!), her main page will pop up, which has thumbnail previews of video scenes and photo galleries. Photos are presented in 600x400 quality and are shot well. Unfortunately there are no zip files for the galleries.

Video is also present here, but the main drawback is that it is only offered in 1 format - streaming flash video. This has its pros and cons - the pros being that it loads up quite fast in high or low speed streaming, and is also a rather large window in your browser - the cons being that you can't download each scene and keep them. This is a clever marketing ploy by DP but kind of dickish at the same time, which is a trend that a lot of the major smut companies follow.

Rounding out the members section are the Virtual TV page, which seems to just show random video scenes, the Live section, which links to topless webcam chicks, and then the Extras section which has some behind the scenes and trailer footage.

If you are a fan of Digital Playground's stuff this site will be a dream for you. Pretty much every DVD they've made is here for viewing at your leisure, and the stills are included as well. With so many hot-ass contract girls, and impeccable secondary talent, it's no wonder that Digital Playground is still a leader in this industry.
