What you see outside on the tour of Hentai Video World is what you get inside the member's area. It's as simple as that. You get access to an archive of uncensored hentai DVDs which can be downloaded and kept forever. So if paying for rentals is getting too expensive then this might be a good deal; it will definitely be cheaper anyway. There is a variety of action ranging from horror and sci-fi to the classics such as bondage and schoolgirls.
You can't say you didn't know what you were going to get after joining Hentai Video World because they already showed it all to you on the tour. So there are no wild promises to keep, it's just like I said earlier: what you see is what you get. But what they don't show on the free tour is how often the updates are added; at the time of this review the newest update was five months old. It looks like they add a whole bunch all at once and then leave it for months with nothing.
The first page inside the member's area starts off like most do; there is a little site description, links to the newest updates, and a schedule of what is coming soon. The schedule looks like it is broken at the moment though because it says 'Waiting' with today's date displayed. But I already wasn't expecting much in the way of updates after seeing how old the newest movie was. Links to the archive of hentai videos sorted by letter are always displayed at the top of each page.
As for the variety of scenes, Hentai Video World does a fairly good job of showing a bit of everything. There are DVDs such as Zankan which is a horror/comedy full of blood and vampires and naked babes... all of the good stuff really! But of course there are the more 'normal' hentai movies with cute Japanese girls getting wet and naughty. However, I am noticing a big focus on horror and bondage here so if you weren't interested in those two categories then you might get disappointed.
The video quality here is average, because all of the content on Hentai Video World has been taken from DVDs, and it's nothing good or bad really... just average. With a size of 640x480 it still looks decent even when viewed in full screen mode so I can't complain too much. At the moment there are 97 DVDs available for download, with an average runtime of 30 minutes, and most are in Japanese with English subtitles. Only a few are done solely in English and there are even some in Japanese with no subtitles at all. They are all clearly marked though so you won't get stuck with something you can't understand. I guess a horny toon babe sounds the same in any language though.
Currently there are no picture galleries or bonus content to look at. So it's DVDs or nothing at Hentai Video World and I don't think they plan on changing that any time soon. Like I said before I don't even know if they are planning on updating the archive at all in the future.
Bottom Line:
Well at least you can't accuse Hentai Video World of trying to do too much and spread themselves too thin... they only have on focus: hentai DVDs. That would be alright with me if they could update the archive more often though. It has been at least five months since the last update.
