Quick Description:

First of all I need to get this out of the way: when they say 'retro' they really do mean it! I have seen other retro sites showing porn from the 60s and 70s but Retro Porn Archive takes it one step further, or should I say backwards, with pictures and videos from the earliest possible nude and hardcore scenes. So of course almost all of this stuff is in black and white and the quality is what you would expect from content this old.

Members Area Review:

After seeing the free tour of Retro Porn Archive I can't say I was surprised to see that almost all of the pictures and videos inside are in black and white. The quality is low but that's to be expected I guess because of how old the content is. I know I keep talking about the age but that's what it all comes down to really... if you're in to the real retro stuff then you won't mind the quality and lack of color! But even if you can get past that, the screen size of the videos are very small and don't enlarge well.

The first page of the member's area can be a bit confusing at first, because as you scroll down there is just a page full of advertisements, but eventually I realized the links to the pics and movies were right at the top. And there is not much to choose from really, all you need to decide is whether you want hardcore of softcore in either pics or videos. Each video is listed with three preview screenshots to give you an idea of the action, well they try anyway, but most of the time I couldn't make out what was happening in the small previews.

OK so if you are relatively young then you might think that the only sex happening 'back then' was straight up missionary position. Well you would be wrong of course. Even though there was more of a taboo on porn back when this content was shot there is still a good variety of action here. You will see everything from orgies, interracial sex, lesbians, bondage, and even some cartoons. They don't seem to be updating the site any more so I think it's fair to say what you see is what you get. I guess they had to run out of stuff to add sooner or later and the archive is a decent size already.

At the moment there are 270 movies available at Retro Porn Archive and, like I said earlier, I don't expect any more updates to them. Other than the fact that the quality is low and there is no color... the videos are also too small at only 320x240 in size. That size makes it impossible to enlarge the videos without making them look ten times worse. You really will either love it or hate it.

I found that navigating through the huge archive of pictures became a really big mess... there are thousands and thousands of pictures, not sorted in to galleries, with only hardcore of softcore to choose from. Retro Porn Archive has a lot of rare pics but they seriously need to work on this navigation system and try to categorize the content better.

Bottom Line:

I have said it before but it's worth saying twice: Retro Porn Archive is something you will either love or hate. And I guess if you have come this far in search of retro porn then you might be in the 'love' category, in that case it would be worth having a look at this site. Out of all of the retro porn sites out there I like this one the best because it has the oldest content. Some of the content on this site probably goes back nearly 100 years and it looks like they have been able to clean up the images to make them clear. I don't like they don't have videos or at least I could not find them.
